The Video Game Awards were held on Nov. 12th and aired on Spike TV. Rapidly becoming must see viewing for video game fans, the VGA is beginning to garner the same excitement that movie lovers feel while watching the Academy Awards. “Is my favorite game gonna win?” “Which console exclusive games will do better?” “What developer will win studio of the year?” The questions can go on and on depending upon your interest level in the gaming world, which is rapidly approaching the top spot for entertainment the the U.S.
So which game is VGA’s GotY for 2009? The nominees are:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
And the winner is…
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
While I can’t say that I disagree with any of these choices, I’m not ready yet to name my GotY. That honor has to wait until after the first of the year before being announced.
